As founder and owner of Platinum Pension Group, LLC,
Joy has over 20 years of experience in retirement
plan design, administration and consulting as well
as plan sales and company management.
As owner and
principal consultant of Platinum Pension Group,
Joy's primary responsibilities include plan design,
consulting, sales and marketing support to
investment advisors, and company management
including managing the PPG staff and providing
technical expertise for the ongoing administration
of our PPG clients’ plans.
In 1996, she co-founded Pension Consultants of
Concord, Inc. which later evolved into her sole
ownership of Platinum Pension Group in 2004. She had
previously been a department manager at another
pension firm as well as an equity partner and
principal consultant at HS&D, Inc., a small pension
consulting firm. She began her career in the group
pension department of CIGNA in Connecticut working
with defined contribution plans prior to
transferring to one of their Boston offices as
pension manager. She was also employed as an
Actuarial Analyst at The New England in their
defined benefit actuarial services department.
Joy is a credentialed member of both the American
Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries as
well as the International Society of Certified
Employee Benefit Specialists.
Administrative Pension Assistant & Bookkeeper
Diane joined Platinum Pension Group, LLC in
2012 as an administrative Pension Assistant and
bookkeeper for the company. Her responsibilities
include assisting Account Managers with pension
administration for PPG clients’ defined contribution
plans, as well as managing the accounts receivable
and payable for PPG. Additionally, Diane has
experience as Office Manager at PPG. Prior to
joining PPG full-time, Diane was a Service Center
Representative at Comcast.
Diane graduated from Bridgewater State University
with a B.A. in Communication Studies with an
emphasis in Public Relations in Bridgewater,

Senior Account Manager
Michael joined Platinum Pension Group, LLC in 2004 following 6 years with
Pension Consultants of Concord, Inc., the predecessor of Platinum Pensions. As
Senior Account Manager, he handles the ongoing pension administration of a group
of PPG’s client plans. His pension experience has expanded into new business
development where he is also responsible for coordinating new plan set up and
conversions at Platinum Pensions as New Business Manager.
Michael graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern University with a major
in Finance & Insurance and Management Information Systems (MIS).
Christa joined Platinum Pension Group, LLC in 2006. As a Senior Account
Manager, her responsibilities include the ongoing pension administration of a
group of PPG’s client plans. She is directly involved with all aspects of
defined contribution plan administration and compliance testing. She began her
career in pension administration in 2000. Just prior to joining Platinum
Pensions, she was a Senior Plan Administrator in the Cambridge office of Tofias,
Christa is a credentialed member of ASPPA (American Society of Pension
Professionals and Actuaries). She obtained her B.S. in Finance with a
concentration in law from Bentley College, Waltham, Massachusetts.
|Debbi Van Baar
Debbi joined Platinum Pension Group, LLC in
January of 2007 as a Pension Administrator. After
teaching high school Mathematics, she began her
career in the 401(k) plan business in 1998 at State
Street Global Advisors, working on the plan
administration of large clients. She was a manager
at The Pension Service, where she focused on
retirement plan compliance testing, plan design and
maintenance of several small qualified pension
plans, while overseeing other employees with their
own clients’ plan administration needs.
Debbi obtained her B.A. in Mathematics and
Secondary Education at Saint Anselm College.
